"A good book deserves a good coffee — and vice versa."
Where readers come to rest
The Folded Page is a bookshop café tucked into the heart of Totnes. Come for the coffee, stay for the pages, leave when you're ready.
Our story
The Folded Page opened in 2019 in a former ironmonger's shop on the high street. We kept the original shelves and filled them with second-hand and independent books — the kind you don't find in chain shops.
We make our own cakes every morning, brew our coffee on a La Marzocco and take our time with everything. We're a place to read, to think, to have a quiet conversation over something good.
We stock independent presses, local authors and second-hand finds. We also take requests and can usually source titles within a few days.
Sourced from Round Hill Roastery, pulled on a La Marzocco. We care about flavour but we don't make a fuss about it.
Water bowl always out. Biscuits available at the counter. We've never met a dog we didn't like.
"The best afternoons have no particular purpose."
